Please wear loose, comfortable clothing. A robe, and/or towels are provided for your convenience at the spa. It is recommended that you shower before receiving your treatment and that you disrobe for your spa services. Your therapist will leave the room as you disrobe and you will lay under a sheet on the table. Upon completion of the treatment, your therapist will again step out of the treatment room to allow you to redress into your robe. Our therapists are trained in proper draping techniques for your comfort. You may elect to receive treatments in your bathing suit or undergarments.

This depends on the treatment you are having and your comfort level. Generally speaking, the more relaxed you feel, the more benefit you’ll receive from the treatment. At no time will you feel “nude” because therapists are trained in draping techniques to ensure that the only exposed part of the body is the area being worked on.

It’s best that you feel comfortable going into your first treatment and if showering induces a sense of well-being for you, by all means shower. Cleanliness is appreciated by our therapists.

Please notify the spa receptionist at the time you are making your appointments and your therapist at the beginning of your treatment. You will be informed if treatments are not recommended.

Your physician can best advise you on which treatments are safe. We also suggest that you avoid treatments using deep pressure and heat.

The therapist will signal the end of the treatment by telling you it’s over and he or she will depart the room so that you can put your robe on again.

The aestheticians at BodyScape are trained to customize each of our facial treatments for your particular skin through skin analysis. This may mean that you do not receive the facial you booked but one rather more suited to your skin type.

Shaving is recommended but please be sure to do so at least two hours prior to your scheduled appointment.

Shaving is recommended but please be sure to do so no less than four hours prior to your scheduled appointment. Certain products may irritate newly-shaven skin.

Health conditions such as high blood pressure preclude you from taking hydrotherapy treatments; however, the health assessment form that is a requirement at BodyScape Spa will flag any health conditions, and our therapists will advise whether you should avoid certain therapies. Conversely, our therapists can recommend therapies to address certain health concerns.
